MAC Style Warrior Collection Product Reviews, Swatches and Haul Pictures

My haul and reviews, fresh from MAC Style Warrior Collection!

The Lipsticks ($14) in this collection are all new and limited edition. The colors aren’t exactly your everyday shades but the following two are pretty nice.



• Brave New Bronze is almost identical to one of my favorite nude lipsticks from MAC, Viva Glam II. It has a little bit more peach and it is a pretty color that would look great with smoky eyes. The Satin formula also gives it a nice slip and makes it non-drying on the lips. Loves it!

• Purple Rite is a “mid-tone frosty orchid” in the Frost formula. Although it looks really purple in the tube, it applies a lot lighter, more like a raspberry color with a touch of magenta. Very pretty and totally wearable!

The Eyeshadows ($14.50) are all limited edition except Tempting, which is permanent at all stores and Vibrant Grape, which is a permanent Pro color.

• Soft Force reminds me a lot of MAC’s Pollen eyeshadow that was limited edition. It is a “frosty pale white gold” in the Veluxe Pearl formula and is great for highlighting the brow bone and inner corners. To see Pollen on me, please refer to my Pollen and Vex FOTD.

• Bright Future is a “frosty bright yellow gold” that is very similar to Fasio’s 550 Sunflower Yellow. It is a vivid yellow that would work beautifully on both light skin, dark skin and even Asian skin. Thanks to its Veluxe Pearl formula, it goes on really pigmented and smooth. A similar color from MAC would be Going Bananas from the C Shock collection.

• Tempting is one of MAC’s more popular shades from the permanent line. It is a “sinfully rich coco” which looks like a warm-toned coppery color with glitter. Great as a crease color or all over for a sultry look.

• Vibrant Grape is a pretty “bright magenta purple” but what I liked about it the most is the texture. It is amazingly smooth and shows up very well. I will do a look with it shortly.



The new Lipglasses ($14) go perfectly with the lipsticks but while some of the colors are pretty, the packaging was the only thing that stood out to me.



As for the Beauty Powder Blushes in Eversun and On A Mission, they are very wearable colors and will suit most skin tones. They are limited edition but you will be able to find a dupe easily.



Like MAC pigments, the Solar Bits are loose powder that can be used on the eyes, cheeks and body. They are very metallic and glittery and slightly chunkier than pigments. The only bad thing about them is they do not stick onto the skin very well so you do have to pat them on with a slightly damp brush. Out of the three, only Impassioned is new. Scatterrays and Bronzescape are both repromotes from the Solar Field collection.



As for the Bronzing Powders, Refined Golden is the perfect color with just the right amount of gold and shimmer but Solar Riche is a little too orange for my taste.



Inspired by the Face and Body FX, the Lustre Drops are new, water-based liquid bronzers. They come in a tiny squeeze bottle about the size of my palm and go on semi-sheer with a glowy finish. They also feel very wet on and takes a while to dry. The colors tends to be on the lighter side so if you have darker skin, they will work more like a highlighter than a bronzer for you.



The Iridescent Powder/Loose in Golden Bronze is a “golden brown with golden bronze shimmer” loose powder from the permanent line. The color is very pigmented and super metallic so I highly recommend using this sparingly on the face and body for a bronze glow.



The Nail Lacquers are all limited edition and in the Frost formula. Out of the three, only Violet Fire stood out to me but since I am not a fan of MAC’s Frost formula (the Cream formula is so much better!) I passed on these.

A gel-based bronzer that can be used all over for a subtle sheen and radiance, the new Skinsheen Leg Sprays go on like a mousse and sink into the skin very quickly. They do add a bit of color but tend to rub off pretty easily. I am an NC30 and Medium Dark is perfect for a natural looking tan.
