After reading a ton of raves about MAC’s limited edition #226 Small Tapered Blending Brush ($24.50)
from the Brunette, Blonde and Redhead collection
that debuted earlier this month, I decided to go back to see what the hype is all about.
Here are some of the latest looks from the Paris Fashion Week Haute Couture S/S 2009. Is it me or are the Christian Dior and JPG looks very similar to those from the Fall 2008 Haute Couture fashion shows?
Similar to what we saw at the Fall 2008 show, this look is all about bright solid colors smeared around the eyes and winged black eyeliner – but with a kick. A solid black line was added on the outer corner of the lower eye, the lips are no longer muted but painted with a bright red and the brow bone, bridge of the nose, chin, cheekbones and cupid’s bow are all highlighted with a super frosty silver color. One word – fierce!
Actress Evan Rachel Wood looked absolutely fantastic at the 2009 SAG Awards that was held in LA last Saturday. The twenty-one-year-old wore a teal Monique Lhuillier one-shoulder gown paired with strappy, purple Sergio Rossi satin sandals and a matching satin clutch. Read on to find out how to recreate Evan’s look!

Spring is the best time to whip out those bright colors that were kept hidden in the drawers after the long cold winter and turquoise is my all-time favorite. While turquoise looks best against darker skin tones and makes brown eyes pop, it will look good on lighter eyes and paler skin as well. Just make sure you pick one that has a metallic or satiny finish. Matte turquoise can look dated.
