I purchased my first cleansing oil back in 1999 from none other than Shu Uemura, the creator of the first oil-based cleanser in Japan.
While the iconic product comes in various versions for different skin types, I went with the Original formula, the High Performance Balancing Cleansing Oil, which is suitable for all skin types.
The cleansing oil comes in a yellow plastic bottle in two sizes, 150 ml or 450 ml. It contains a blend of 60% light oils, 40% rich oils, vitamin E and tea tree fragrance to remove makeup and impurities thoroughly while maintaining the skin’s integral balance.
Similar to DHC Deep Cleansing Oil, it felt a bit thick but still easy to spread over the face. With just one pump, it got rid of all my makeup and dirt and left my face feeling so clean and hydrated! If only the price is lower!
