A dramatic, smudgy eye decked with feathery lashes added a strong contrast to the romantic pieces at the Chanel Spring 2013 Couture runway show at Paris earlier this week.

To create the look, Peter Philips, Creative Director of Chanel Makeup, applied Chanel Stylo Eyeshadow in Black Stream and Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof Long-Lasting Eyeliner in Noir Intense all over the eyes before applying wing-shaped mesh fake eyelashes onto the upper and lower lash lines to create a smeared, smudgy effect. The skin was left matte courtesy of Chanel Vitalumière Aqua Ultra-Light Skin Perfecting Makeup SPF 15, with a tinge of peachy blush (Chanel Joues Contraste Powder Blush in Frivole) on the cheeks and a pale, pearly pink on the lips.
