Make Up For Ever Launches Make Up Bag Remix Mobile Tour

January 26, 2013

Anyone can benefit from a little update on their looks every now and then. To help you figure out what products to ditch and make better use of products you already own, Make Up For Ever will be taking their very best artists on a first-ever mobile Make Up Bag Remix tour!

Make Up For Ever Spring 2013 Make Up Bag Remix Tour

During the 30-minute one-on-one complimentary session, a professional artist from the Make Up For Ever Make Up School will go through consumers’ makeup bag, provide an interactive, hands-on lesson explaining how to apply their products and show them how to supplement what they already own to create their most flattering look. Each client will walk away with a new make up bag, a custom face chart detailing how to use the products they brought, and a list of any additional products recommended by the artist to round out their look. A professional photographer will also be on-site to capture each client’s “after” look, which will be uploaded to an album on the Make Up For Ever USA Facebook page.

I booked a session on the bus and I was unimpressed. I thought I had heard that there were going to be deals and sales offered on some of their products if you bought from them after a consultation, however, I wasn’t made aware of any special offers. Also, on the MUFE remix tour facebook page, they said everyone would receive a free sample of some foundation in their color, but I never received the sample, or any samples for that matter. It’s nice that MUFE is bringing in their own professionally trained MUA from around the country — I find that much more assuring than the random Sephora MUA you usually get.

I was also disappointed that I brought my makeup bag, which I carefully curated for this event, and then the MUA didn’t even look at it! LOL I’m sorry, but if I put that much effort into selecting a small portion of my makeup stash into a bag for your perusal, I want you to really get in there and dig!

I’d say that if you are really into makeup, there probably won’t be much for you to learn or gain from this experience. This might be geared towards someone who doesn’t know much about make up.
