Runway Makeup: Vampy Smoky Eye and Pale Lip at L’Wren Scott Fall 2012

February 17, 2012

Inspired by well-known vamp Theda Bara, Lancôme’s Artistic Director for Makeup Aaron De Mey created a smoky eye, contoured cheeks, lots of highlight and pale matte lips for L’Wren Scott A/W 2012.

How To
Aaron evened out the skin with Teint Miracle Lit-from-Within Foundation before applying Éclat Miracle Illuminator to the top of the cheeks, nose, Cupid’s bow and around the hair line. He then contoured the cheek bone with the contour shade from Blush Subtil Palette in Nectar Lace (available in July 2012).

For the eyes, Aaron applied navy blue eyeliner (Le Stylo Waterproof Eyeliner in Minuit) to the crease and along the lash line, topped it with an inky blue eyeshadow (Color Design Eyeshadow in Garment) and blended it all for a smoky look. A dab of Juicy Tubes in Pure, just on the lids, made the eye makeup look worn.

Finally, the lips were muted with a dab of Effacernes Concealer.
