Runway Beauty: Richard Chai Love S/S 2012 Makeup Breakdown

September 9, 2011

At the Richard Chai Love S/S 2012 show, lead makeup artist James Kaliardos for M·A·C Cosmetics created a “Japanese Harajuku girl meets Venice Beach girl” look to balance off the “explosion of color and texture” of the collection.

Pairing bright colors of pink and orange on the eyes or vibrant blue or purple on the lips against minimal, healthy-looking skin, James says “it’s just a great choice for spring because color not only brightens up your face, it brightens up your whole atmosphere… it can really help to pull you out of depression.”
