Shu Uemura Gem Glam Summer 2010 Collection Product Information

April 14, 2010

Although Japanese brand Shu Uemura has been pulled out from all stores in the US, its latest Summer 2010 collection, Gem Glam, is still up for grabs at http://www.shuuemura-usa.com/.

Flawless Glow Powder ($55)
A gorgeous multi-color face duo for the perfect complexion. Achieve a flawless, glowing, multi-dimensional finish. Suitable for all skin tones, the fine powder minimizes the look of pores and evens skin tone. Upper set highlights the luminous transparency of the skin while the lower set enhances the natural contours of the face. Set in a luxurious compact inspired by the brilliance of gemstones. Use the upper section as a highlighter and the lower section for contouring. Alternatively, swirl your brush across both sections for an overall healthy, luminous glow.

Cream Eye Shadow ($30)
Our soft-blend, waterproof cream eye shadow formula is now available in 3 limited-edition pearl shades for the Gem Glam collection. This unique formula can be layered with pressed eye shadow for a textured, high-impact look, applied alone for a smooth, natural finish or blended with another cream eye shadow shade.

Pressed Eye Shadow ($20)
Discover the brand-new, limited-edition glitter pressed eye shadow in our Gem Glam collection. Collection also features a pearlescent blue-green perfect for Spring / Summer.

Vinyl Unlimited ($20)
Two limited-edition full coverage lip glosses for the Shu Uemura Gem Glam collection. Fresh colors with dramatic gem-shine to complete a glamorous summer look. Vibrant shades and vivid colors with an extreme lacquer-sheen finish.

I’m really lemming the Flawless Glow Powder – a girl can never have enough cute compacts! What about you ladies?

Phyllis, do you know why Shu Uemura was pulled out from all U.S. stores? The makeup looks pretty and Shu Uemura is such a big brand that I don’t understand why they’re not selling it in the U.S.

Why was shu uemura pulled from all us stores?

    Maggie/Jen,

L’oreal decided to pull the plug and focus on brands that are more popular in the US. Most of Shu’s revenues come from Asia I believe.

The line will still be available in the US but only at http://www.shuuemura-usa.com/.

Hi Ladies, actually some products belonging to this line are still being sold in Nordstroms. I am not sure if all of them still carry Shu but I’ve read that you can find this particular line there if not all of Shu’s products.

At least they will still sell items through their website. I’m sure a lot of people are happy that they will still be able to get the famous eyelash curler. 🙂
