Makeup For Life In Nylon Korea January 2010 Scans

I finally got my hands on a copy of the Nylon Korea January 2010 – thanks Nylon! Here are the scans as promised. Any kind Korean soul care to translate?

FOTD: Nicole Farhi Spring 2010 Inspired Purple and Green Makeup Look

Looking at all these spring beauty trends and runway pictures has got me wanting to wear spring makeup already! Below is a face I just did inspired by the look at Nicole Farhi Spring 2010. Since my skintone is different from the models, I opted for a different green on the lower eye to match with my shirt instead. When is spring going to come?!

MAC Spring/Summer 2010 Trend Report: Makeup Looks

Look#1: Underground Society
An aerodynamically misplaced streak of liner. A lip packed in Pigment or duo-chromatically constructed… a hardass brow. “It’s more of an attempt to project an attitude of individuality and a sense of ownership than about looking gorgeous in any traditional sense,” explains Terry Barber.

Of difference: we’re at a moment in beauty when identikit perfection looks positively passé. Touching on tribal elements with striking originality (Underground Society), taking a couture approach to nude makeup (Pale ‘N’ Dandy), feeling the heat of a carefree, sun-warmed vibe (American Nomad) or getting creative with the murano-glass palette being passed about (Dye-A-Tribe) feels eminently more interesting and appropriate. “The essential point with makeup this season is that it’s about projecting emotion and attitude, about not looking the same as everyone else,” explains Terry Barber.

Makeup For Life featured in Nylon Korea January 2010!

Through an awesome reader in South Korea (thanks JiSoo!), I found out Makeup For Life was featured in the January 2010 issue of Nylon Korea along with a few other beauty websites like Makeupalley.com, AOL’s Stylelist and Totalbeauty.com etc.

Below is an excerpt of the article from www.nylonmedia.co.kr. I will post scans once I get the magazine in the mail. Thank you Nylon Korea and all of you for your support!
