At Marc Jacobs Spring/Summer 2016, the beauty look is all about downtown chic. “It’s the East Village girl who’s been out all night,” explained François Nars. “Marc wanted them to look a little worn, so we created a look with too much mascara, just the right amount of color, no foundation, and dark circles under the eyes. There’s a lot of shine on the cheeks and eyes – they almost look greasy and a bit tired, but still so beautiful.”
The vivid colors in the Elie Saab Spring/Summer 2015 collection resulted in a beauty look that brought on a gorgeous “submarine, aqua happiness” with vibrant blue eyes, muted lips and nude nails.
Honor Spring/Summer 2015 showed us how a pop of blue on the eyes and nails can be oh-so-refreshing and perfect for Spring!
NYFW might have just kicked off yesterday but blue eyeshadow has already popped up at quite a number of shows. And at Dannijo Spring/Summer 2015, Maybelline makeup artist Yadim created modern tribalism with 2 different looks featuring shades of blue and bronze on the eyes. “Though the shades varied, each models’ makeup was similar so they looked a part of the same tribe – gorgeous and radiant.” explained Yadim.
Makeup artist Pat McGrath never ceases to amaze me with her skills and creativity and at the Dior A/W 2014 show, she created a high-impact graphic glitter eye in shades of blue and khaki using theatrical latex paint.
Tonight at Atelier Versace Spring 2014 Couture, the makeup consisted of a sultry eye in shades of bronze and gold plus a touch of blue on the inner corners, paired with fluttery lashes and the usual Donatella Versace-esque nude lip. Tres chic and so perfect to wear for spring!
