Fueled by the idea of a “power woman”, the beauty look at Jonathan Simkhai A/W 2017 consisted of a bold, glossy red lip and a bare neutral one to complement the eye accessories – a pearl and a Swarovski crystal – along with different nail looks.
Makeup: Yadim for Maybelline New York
Nails: Julie Kandalec for essie
Yadim started by creating a fresh and pearlescent look to the skin by applying Dream Brightening Creamy Concealer as needed. Next, he highlighted with a generous amount of FaceStudio Master Strobing Liquid Illuminating Highlighter on the high points of the face.
Brows were customized for each model’s face, using Brow Precise Fiber Volumizer for thickness and Brow Drama Shaping Chalk Powder for definition.
To create the statement lip, Yadim layered Color Sensational The Loaded Bolds in Midnight Merlot and Pitch Black onto lips. Then, he mixed Color Sensational Vivid Hot Lacquer in Obsessed and Classic on top for high shine. For the girls who weren’t getting lip color, he simply used Baby Lips Moisturizing Lip Balm in Quenched and a bit fo Dreamy Brightening Creamy Concealer to neutralize their natural lip color.
On the nails, Julie created three nail looks – deep navy (midnight cami), soft netural (topless & barefoot) and dark burgundy (a combination of licorice and bordeaux) – to symbolize both power and feminity.
