Runway Beauty: Ice Queens at Jonathan Simkhai A/W 2016

At Jonathan Simkhai Autumn/Winter 2016, models were transformed into “ice queens” with luminous skin, snow-kissed lashes and wine-stained cheeks.

Makeup: Erin Parsons for Maybelline New York
Nails: Rita Remark for essie

Parsons evened out the skin with Fit Me! Dewy + Smooth Foundation and Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealing. Then she smudged the upcoming Master Strobe Illuminating Face Stick (launching June 2016) on the cheekbones, down the nose and chin, in the inner corners of the eyes and in the cupid’s bow before patting moisturizer on top of the entire face for a luminous, almost-bare look. For a sporty-looking flush, Parsons applied Color Sensational The Loaded Bolds Lip Color in Raging Raisin (launching June 2016) with a brush, starting at the top inner corner of the apples of the cheeks and dragging it down diagonally and adding a dab of the color to the temples, tip of the nose and forehead. She defined the lashes with The Falsies Push-Up Drama Mascara in Brownish Black and coated them with a theatrical makeup product for a “freshly fallen snowflake” effect. Finally, the lips were left bare with just a touch of Baby Lips Lip Balm in Quenched.

To complement the shades of navy, light blue, white, beige and ivory in the clothing, Remark used coordinating shades – find me an oasis, wrap me up, all eyes on nudes, marshmallow and midnight cami – on the nails. She created a textured cable knit sweater design as an accent on the middle and ring fingers of both hands by applying matte about you then drawing with a striping brush dipped in gel.setter top coat, diagonal “S” shapes down the nail.
