2014 MET Gala Makeup Trend – Red Lips

While a smoky eye with nude lip is always a favorite on the red carpet, it was all about the lips at the 2014 Metropolitan Museum of Art’s annual Costume Institute Gala. And the celebs’ top choice of color? None but red.

Representing the bold, we have Marion Cotillard in a bright tomato red, courtesy of Hourglass Panoramic Long Wear Lip Liner in Raven and Hourglass Femme Rouge Velvet Crème Lipsticks in Raven and Muse, along with Taylor Swift in NARS Velvet Matte Lip Pencil in Dragon Girl. Personally, this is my favorite and totally on trend with the bright lip looks on the S/S 2014 runways!

Then there are those who couldn’t get enough of the dark side – Selena Gomez in a vampy dark berry color and Beyonce kicking it up a notch with a dark, sultrier hue.
