Emmy Rossum's Glowy makeup look at Jeffrey Fashion Cares Fundraiser

“We wanted to create a mod look, but bring it into this millennium with really clean, glowing skin and a dramatic eye,” says Emmy’s makeup artist Jake Bailey.

To create a flawless, glowing complexion – the perfect canvas for any makeup look – Jake started with Bioré® Acne Clearing Scrub, which cleanses and polishes skin without harsh side effects or over-drying. Next, he applied a sheer, lightweight foundation for an even glow. To keep cheeks dewy and fresh-looking, Jake suggested using a crème blush or bronzer – instead of traditional powder blush – on cheekbones.

As for the eyes, Jake lined the top and bottom lash line with a waterproof crème liner. He applied a thin line in the crease of the eye to further emphasize the ‘mod’ look. Using the same waterproof crème liner, Jake painted tiny strokes between bottom lashes to eliminate the need for false eyelashes and create a retro feeling. Then, he added a strip of full, black false eyelashes on the top lashes and applied a coat of waterproof black mascara on top and bottom lashes. To finish the dramatic eye look, he used a radiant, creamy concealer in a light shade along the brow bone to highlight (NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer is perfect for this!)

On Emmy’s lips, Jake applied a satiny lip pencil, a shade or two darker than the lips’ natural shade, to accentuate lips’ natural color while keeping the look clean and modern. Finally, he added a dusting of matte powder in a transparent shade across the T-Zone to eliminate shine.

Now that you know how to recreate the look, it’s time to rock it for yourself! And to help you guys with this, I will be giving away three Bioré® Acne Clearing Scrubs. All you have to do is leave a comment here by next Monday, April 8th. Good luck!
