With the new NARS Andy Warhol Holiday 2012 Color Collection comes 4 new Soft Touch Shadow Pencils in holiday-perfect shades.
Boasting a smooth, creamy, long-wearing formula, the Soft Touch Shadow Pencils are jumbo pencil shadows that claim to deliver a velvety feel to the eye and make for easy blending and an ideal base for layering with a powder shadow for increased color intensity.
Empire is a creamy jet black
Heat is a creamy aqua
Trash is a shimmery royal purple
Silver Factory is a frosty aluminum
While the pencils do glide on easily with great pigmentation, they really are best worn as a base for powder shadows. When worn alone, they turned into a hot mess and creased horribly in just minutes. Even with my must-have NARS Pro-Prime Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base underneath, the shadows still creased after a while.
At this price, there are definitely better products out there. I would try Milani Shadow Eyez 12 Hour Wear Eyeshadow Pencils or Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Shadow Pencils instead.
NARS Andy Warhol Soft Touch Shadow Pencils are available October 1st at narscosmetics.com for $24.
