TATCHA Launches Geisha-Inspired Skincare Line

March 11, 2012

This spring, TATCHA, the company behind my favorite Japanese Blotting Papers, brings us a new skincare line to emulate the finely honed, effortless regimen of Japanese geisha.

TATCHA skincare ritual

Made from all-natural ingredients including Okinawa Red Algae, Japanese Rice Bran and the very best Green Tea, the 6-piece TATCHA Ritual consists of 4 skincare necessities:- a One Step Camellia Cleansing Oil, three Rice Enzyme Powders for different skin types, a Deep Brightening Serum and a Moisture Rich Silk Cream.

The products work together to promote moisturization, reduce signs of premature aging and protect skin against environmental stresses. They are also free of mineral oils, synthetic fragrances, sulfate detergents, parabens, PEGs, PPGs, urea, DEA, TEA or phthalate and work on all skin types.

But the best part? The ritual is based on a 200-year-old manuscript from Kyoto that contained beauty secrets which are only passed down from one generation of geisha to the next by word of mouth ALONE.

WOW this seems like it will have similar hype of SKII, the whole secret/traditional thing.

I just receive my sampler kit and I am AMAZED! I honestly was super skeptical about the oil cleanser as I’m a soap user, but it removed all my makeup including my waterproof mascara. Best of all my skin was soft, not striped and over dried.

The polishing grains, serum and moisturizers are light, refreshing and very calming.
