Runway Makeup: Rock ‘n Roll Makeup at Rachel Zoe Fall 2012

February 12, 2012

With a rock ‘n roll vision in mind, the look created by Maybelline New York Global Makeup Artist Charlotte Willer for Rachel Zoe A/W 2012 was “60s-70s sexy – reminiscent of Marianne Faithfull – meets the fresh, contemporary girl of today”.

Face
For a second skin effect, Charlotte prepped the face with Dream Nude Airfoam Foundation. Then she blended Fit Me! Bronzer under the cheekbones to give the face an instant lift and architecture.

Eyes
For a sultry feline eye, Charlotte drew a thick line from the inner corner outward, smudging ever-so-slightly, for a smoldering effect. She then took the liner upward to the crease for an intensely hypnotic look. “Masses of lashes” were created with a set of falsies topped with lashings and lashings of Volumn’ Express The Colossal Mascara in Glam Black and Illegal Length Fiber Extensions Mascara in Very Black.

Lips
To close the look in soft, clean fashion, the lips were given toned down with SuperStaqy 14HR Lipstick in Beige For Good.
