To convey the idea of 1980’s Dolly Parton meets Liza Minnelli in Cabaret at Chris Benz A/W 2012 collection, lead makeup artist Daniel Martin working for Lancome created fresh, clean skin with shimmering eyes and soft tangerine lips.
First, Daniel blocked out the eyebrows so they wouldn’t compete with the eyeshadow. He did this by applying Elmer’s glue to the brows and topping it with a mix of concealer and powder. Daniel used Color Design Eyeshadow in All That Glitters and mixed it with the silver shade in Color Design 5 Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Violet Magnetique (available Fall 2012) and blended over the entire lid up to the brow. Two coats of Hypnôse Drama Mascara in Excessive Black gave the eye dimension.
After evening out the skin with Teint Idole Ultra 24H Foundation, Daniel used the contour color from the Blush Subtil Palette in Nectar Lace (available in July) just below the cheekbone and blended the highlighter color from above the cheekbone to the hairline.
To create the milky tangerine pout, he applied Rouge In Love in 307N Sweet Embrace and topped it with the peachy blush from the Blush Subtil palette. Juicy Tubes in Pure was added for a glossy finish. The complete look is “pretty but disheveled,” says Martin.
For the nails, manicurist Ana-Maria used three different polishes from the Vernis in Love collection: 407N Gris Angora, a grayish-purple shade, 585N Noir Caviar, a dark-gray-almost-black shade and 270N Chocolat Mordore, a deep brown shade. The two gray shades were topped with a matte finish and the chocolate shade was finished with a glossy topcoat.

The look is beautiful and wearable in every day life – I really like! <3
The whole face is lovely and the brows are hideous. It is such a specialized look (like David Bowie in his ziggy stardust era)

to lighten ones eyebrows to the extent that they almost look nonexistent! I can only see this on the runway to launch a certain seasons clothing.
Oh please didn’t we just recently get our fuller more naturally beautiful eyebrows back in recent seasons?
PS As far as I am concerned this look you featured Phyliss is much more beautiful with the gorgeous brows framing lovely eyes and a well done face!
