Once again, CoverGirl teams up with Olay to bring us CoverGirl & Olay Tone Rehab 2-In-1 Foundation, a new foundation mixed with serum to instantly cover discolorations and improve skintone over time.
The CoverGirl foundation uses a soft focus sphere technology to optically blur visible contrast edges and smooth out rough surfaces while the Olay serum contains Glycerine, Niacinamide, N-acetyl Glucosamine, Vitamin E, Allantoin, Panthenol and Green Tea to improve skintone and help protect skin from harmful free radicals. The two are swirled together and dispensed through a user-friendly pump for no-mess application.
There are a total of 14 shades to choose from, most of which lean towards the neutral side. I was sent 140 Natural Beige, a medium neutral color that is a just tinge pinker than my NC30 skin.
The foundation had a strong fruity scent and a lightweight, mousse-like texture that resembled a BB cream instead of foundation. Not only did it blend easily, it felt very moisturizing and melted right into my dehydrated combo skin without highlighting any dry patches. The light to medium coverage and dewy finish was also perfect for every day, although I did notice a bit of shine after a few hours without setting with powder.
CoverGirl & Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation is available at mass-market retail outlets nationwide for $13.99.
