Once again, CoverGirl teams up with Olay to bring us CoverGirl & Olay Tone Rehab 2-In-1 Foundation, a new foundation mixed with serum to instantly cover discolorations and improve skintone over time.
The CoverGirl foundation uses a soft focus sphere technology to optically blur visible contrast edges and smooth out rough surfaces while the Olay serum contains Glycerine, Niacinamide, N-acetyl Glucosamine, Vitamin E, Allantoin, Panthenol and Green Tea to improve skintone and help protect skin from harmful free radicals. The two are swirled together and dispensed through a user-friendly pump for a no-mess application.
There are a total of 14 shades to choose from, most of which err on the neutral side. I was sent 140 Natural Beige, a medium neutral color that is a just tinge pinker than my NC30 skin.
The foundation has a strong fruity scent and a lightweight, mousse-like texture that resembles a BB cream instead of foundation. Not only does it blend easily, it feels very moisturizing and melts right into my dehydrated combo skin without highlighting dry patches. The light to medium coverage and dewy finish is also perfect for every day, though I do notice a bit of shine after a few hours if I don’t set it with powder.
Overall, CoverGirl & Olay Tone Rehab 2-In-1 Foundation is definitely one of the better drugstore foundations I have tried, especially for dry or mature skin. The only downside is the $13.99 price tag, which can be a little steep, considering there are no testers available.
CoverGirl & Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation is available at mass-market retail outlets nationwide for $13.99.
