Napoleon Perdis Bronze Patrol and Blush Patrol Review and Swatches

June 21, 2011

If you have the tendency to swoon at the sight of MAC Mineralize Skinfinish like I do, then you will HAVE to check out Napoleon Perdis Bronze Patrol and Blush Patrol.

Housed in a gold compact, the Bronze and Blush Patrol are dome-shaped baked powders to give your skin the prettiest glow. They are about the same size as MAC MSF but only contain 9g – instead of 10g with the MSF – of product. They are also enriched with Vitamin A, C and Lauroyl Lysine to help improve the appearance of skin tone and are paraben-free.

Bronze Patrol is a medium brown with gold, beige and dark brown veining. On my NC30 skin, it shows up a gorgeous bronze that is a couple of shades darker and reminds me of my favorite MAC Shooting Star, Comfort and Warmed MSFs.

Blush Patrol, on the other hand, is a dark rose with light pink and gold veining. It shows up a warm rose on me and is so pretty I felt bad swatching it. The closest dupe from MAC would be Petticoat Mineralize Skinfinish.

Besides looking super pretty, the powders are creamy, smooth and super pigmented. They blend so easily and create this beautiful glow on my skin that lasts all day just like a liquid luminizer. I also love that they are not overly frosty and never magnify pores or make my skin look greasy or dirty.

The only downside to these babies is the price tag. At $50 and $59 a pop, they cost almost twice as much as MAC MSF. But to justify the hefty price, you get a free Patrol Brush that is worth $30 when you purchase either of them. Plus unlike MSFs, these are also permanent so if you are not ready to splurge on both just yet, you can always wait ☺

Overall Rating:

Napoleon Perdis Bronze Patrol and Blush Patrol are available at http://www.napoleonperdis.com for $50 and $59.
