Celebrity Makeup Breakdown: Taylor Swift at 2011 People’s Choice Awards

At the 2011 People’s Choice Awards last night, celebrity makeup artist Lorrie Turk gave Taylor Swift a fresh, pretty look with a bright orangy-red lip to complement her delicate, peachy J. Mendel frock.

Lorrie started by prepping Taylor’s face with CoverGirl Simply Ageless Serum Primer and applied CoverGirl NatureLuxe Silk Foundation in Alabaster with a brush and blended with a sponge. You can also apply the foundation by mixing it in your palm and applying directly with your fingers. The foundation gave Taylor a luxurious polished skin finish.

On her eyes, Lorrie used CoverGirl LiquiLineBlast in Black Fire to create the minimal winged liner. Since Lorrie was focusing on a bright lip, she didn’t want to make the eyes too dramatic. She finished the eyes by curling Taylor’s lashes and applying CoverGirl LashBlast Volume in Black.

As for Taylor’s lips, which were the standout of the look, Lorrie first used CoverGirl Lip Perfection Lip Liner in Passion to line them and also help the color stay through the night. She then finished the lip by applying CoverGirl Lip Perfection Lipstick in Flame.
