Celebrity Holiday Hair Looks

December 14, 2009

Looking for ideas on how to do your hair for the holidays? Check out the following looks from Frederic Fekkai’s top celebrity stylist, Adir Abergel.

Look #1: Classic Updo
You can never go wrong with an updo. To get Kate Beckinsale’s look at the MOCA New 30th Anniversary Gala, start by blow drying the hair with a round brush and applying a hairpsray like Fekkai Full Blown Volume Lifting Hairspray at the roots to create some height. After blow drying, let the hair cool around rollers in order to maximize volume. Tease the top of the hair with a fine tooth comb to add height. Polish the sides of the hair using Fekkai Coiff Nonchalant Piecing & Forming Wax, pulling the hair into a tight ponytail just above the ear line. Finally, twist the ponytail and wrap it around an elastic band forming a doughnut shape and pin the pony into place. To secure the look, spray the hair with hairspray like Femme Fekkai Sensuelle Hair Spray.

Look #2: Loose Ponytail
Nothing says sexy-without-trying-too-hard better than a loose ponytail. For Jessica Biel’s look, prep the hair with Fekkai Coiff Bouffant Lifting & Texturizing Spray Gel from the roots to the ends of the hair. Then use your hands to tousle her hair until it was completely dry. Once dried, use a large barrel curling iron and curled the hair from the roots down. In order to achieve the textured look, spray a little Fekkia Coiff Oceanique Tousled Wave Spray. Backcomb the crown using a fine tooth comb, tie a loose ponytail leaving some front pieces to frame the front of your face. To finish the look, add Fekkai Golden Shimmer Gelee Mist.

Look #3: Flirty Waves
Another popular at parties, wavy hair like Sienna Miller’s below is actually a lot more eaiser to achieve than you think! Start off with Fekkai Coiff Bouffant Lifting & Texturizing Spray Gel at the roots to add lift and volume. Blow-dry the hair completely. Once hair is fully dried, take a 1 1/4” curling iron and wrapped hair around the iron in small sections, leaving the ends out to create more of a rock n’ roll vibe. Once you finished curling, take sections of the hair and apply Fekkai Coiff Magnifique Ultra Light Finishing Creme to create a little separation on ends.

I’ve always love girls who go out with loose ponytails & bed hair. I’m too prim & proper that everything has to be in place. :/
