Celebrity Makeup Breakdown: Cassie at CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards

17 November 2009

Model turned singer Cassie attended the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund Awards in New York last night in a Brian Reyes dress with a gorgeous smoky eye. When is that girl ever going to let her hair grow back?

“We went for a classic smoky eye to work against her graphic dress,” said NARS International Lead Makeup Artist James Boehmer who created the celebrity’s look. “She has beautiful skin so I really wanted to play that up with the NARS Orgasm Multiple.”

Skin
Apply NARS Cadiz Sheer Matte Foundation. Dust NARS Mountain Loose Powder over the skin for an extra-mattifying effect. Contour cheeks with NARS Rapa Nui Multiple Bronzer. Blend NARS Orgasm Multiple on the apples of cheeks for a soft glow. Dust NARS Nico Blush to highlight cheekbones.

Eyes
Use NARS Zardoz Cream Eyeshadow as a base on the upper lid and into the brow bone. Set the shadow with the matte black side of NARS Pandora Duo Eyeshadow. Use the dark brown side of NARS Cordura Duo Eyeshadow to blend into the outer corner of eyes and lower lashline. Line the upper and lower rims of eyes with NARS Black Moon Eyeliner Pencil. Highlight inner corners of eyes with the frosted ginger side of NARS Isolde Duo Eyeshadow. Intensify lashes with NARS Larger Than Life Lengthening Mascara

Lips
Line lips with NARS Tonga Lipliner Pencil. Apply NARS Blonde Venus Lipstick. Gloss lips with NARS Harlow Lip Gloss.
