Burberry To Launch First Color Cosmetics Line In July 2010

October 27, 2009

WWD has just reported Burberry‘s plan to join the long line of designer makeup!

Set to launch in July 2010, the first ever color cosmetics collection will be manufactured by Inter Parfums SA (who also does the Burberry fragrances). There will be roughly 100 products for skin, lips and eyes and the line will be carried in about 30 stores around the globe. Phillippe Benacin, chairman and managing director of Inter Parfums SA, says the new collection will “give another dimension to the brand.”

I can’t really call myself a Burberry fan but I am pretty excited to see how their makeup range would turn out. If the products are packaged with Burberry’s signature plaid pattern, I’m sure they will fly off the shelves!
