Spring 2010 New York Fashion Week Nail Looks

September 17, 2009

At the spring 2010 Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, we are seeing all kinds of nail colors and designs. My favorite are definitely the ones with the rhinestones (if only my nail bed was longer!) What about you ladies?

Metallics
Gold foil created an exotic Moroccan-inspired look at Baby Phat.

Models showed off a gorgeous matte metallic finish at Jason Wu with CND Copper Chrome topped by CND Super Matte.

Creams
A beautiful, sand-blasted look with two coats of CND Putty at BCBG Max Azria.

At Twinkle, models were given a snow-white color sans shine with CND Brilliant White and CND Super Matte.

To complement the preppy, clean looks on the runway of Karen Walker, a gorgeous soft muted gray was created by combining CND Silver Chrome and CND Studio White.

Bursts of rich, deep color with CND Asphalt matched the ’40s-inspired pieces at Behnaz Sarafpour.

One thin coat of CND Blackjack and a layer of CND Muddy Rose created the perfect “Dusty Rose” shade to go with the earthy pieces at Carolina Herrera.

Rhinestones
Nails mimicked Thai nights with CND Inkwell with CND Ice Blue Shimmer and colorful rhinestone embellishments at Diego Binetti.

Art-deco, ’40s-inspired clean moon manicures created with CND Plumville base and tipped with CND Blackjack emerged at Ruffian.

I am liking the gold chrome look. it reminds me of the silver chrome acrylics the model wore for the holiday 2007 sephora cover.
