The Taiwanese ones are getting a lot of raves in Hong Kong but I keep telling myself I don’t need them since I can’t get them here!

    Hi Phyllis,

What lashes would you recommend for bottom lashes?
I’m having the hardest time looking for false lashes for bottom

What is the product/company name for the Taiwanese ones? Thanks!

    D,

It all depends on what look you are going for. The best would be to use lashes that are made for the undereye area (they are more natural). But if you can’t find them, go with the Ardell strip lashes that are shorter and on the sparse side. Long, dense lashes on the bottom can look drag-queeny unless you are going for a really dramatic look.

Another thing you can do is to use individual lashes on the undereye area. They are normally shorter and since they are just strands of hair, you can just place a few here and there.

    Amy,

The name of the brand is 亮麗假睫毛.

    Phyllis,

Do you re-use all of your lashes? Or are the Taiwanese etc. more one-time-use kind of lashes?

I ask because I tend to blend mine with my natural lashes with mascara and can’t be bothered to try and salvage each pair. I don’t think putting them on after mascara or without any mascara (as I have seen suggested/done on other blogs) is an option for me because my lashes are practically white blonde.

    Thanks!

    Dear Phyllis,

I am a lashes junkie myself and can you tell me or take a clearer picture of your “darkness” eyelashes? I would like to get them myself but not sure which number?

    Thanks,

    -an avid fan-

    Rebecca,

I do reuse all my fake lashes including the Taiwanese ones. As long as they are made out of decent material and you take good care of them, you can reuse them.

I personally don’t apply mascara after the fake lashes. I apply mascara before and I blend them by curling them with a curler after I have applied the falsies. That way, my fake lashes never get smudged with mascara.

If you have really light lashes, you can always try tinting them. The tint lasts a good few weeks but make sure you visit a good salon for this.

  • Reply Phyllis February 23, 2009 at 2:06 pm

Sorry J, I don’t know where you can purchase them online. I got the Korean ones at a local Korean market and a friend picked up the Taiwanese ones for me in Asia.
