Backstage Makeup Breakdown: Vivienne Westwood Red Label Fall 2009 at London Fashion Week

February 25, 2009

At the Vivienne Westwood Red Label Fall 2009 show, MAC makeup artist Gordon Espinet created four different looks for the high school girl gangs inspired models.

Look #1: Dark Goth Lips
A matte brown lipstick (MAC Full Chocolate) was used to create these dark vampy lips.

Look #2: Rock Chick Eyes
Espinet blended MAC Eye Kohl in Feline on the eyes. β€œIt’s very Chrissie Hynde with too much eyeliner,” said Espinet.

Look #3: Chav Lips
Inspired by the chav Paris Hilton wannabes, Espinet applied MAC Girl About Town Lipstick onto the lips before topping them with MAC Cremesheen Glass in Ever So Rich.

Look #4: ’50s Eyes
Espinet did a twist on the ’50s eyes by using MAC Fluidline in Blacktrack on the lids and tons of mascara.

I love how most of the looks you have been posting for all the Fashion Weeks display daring high fashion looks, but they also give the heads up for upcoming popular makeup trends as well.
