MAC's latest limited edition Give Me Liberty Of London Collection was based on William Morris’ Strawberry Thief print, which dates back to 1883. The collection has some of the prettiest packaging and cutest colors I have seen in a while.

NARS The Multiple Duo Review

21 December 2008

The Multiple has always been one of the cult products in the beauty industry and now NARS has combined two Multiples in a compact to give you the Multiple Duo ($45) that is available only for a limited period of time.

Encased in the NARS signature black, mirrored compact about the size of the Holiday eyeshadow palette (which I <3 btw), the Multiple Duo can be used on the eyes, lips and cheeks. All colors are super lightweight, great to blend and create such a nice, subtle glow to the face.

I have Orgasm/South Beach, which consists of a shimmery peachy pink paired with a shimmery apricot. While Orgasm looks great as a blush on my NC30 skin, I find South Beach to be the winner in this pair. It looks great as a wash on the eyelids, on the hollows of the cheeks for just the right amount of contouring and along the bridge of the nose as a highlighter.

The product also comes in 4 other gorgeous pairs:

*Copacabana/St. Barts – Glistening pearl/taupe shimmer
*Maldives/Riviera – Pink champagne with shimmer/pink
*Portofino/Malibu – Shimmering coral/pinkish brown
*Maui/Palm Beach – Dusty rose/rich bronze

I have never really been a fan of multi-use cream products but the Multiple Duo has definitely got me converted. Copacabana/St. Barts will be my next duo!

    Hey Phyllis!

I’m just wondering if you know whether or not MAC and NARS have any boxing day special? Thanks!

My sister has a multiple that she has been using for years – lasts forever. Would definitely buy this if it weren’t so pricey. You’ve tempted me – will have to check it out some more at the store..

I have Copacabana/St. Barts! I love it, but I find that the duos apply much more sheerly than the original multiples. I feel that the original ones are also much more creamy, but I love having two colors in one compact thing. Speaking of the compact, its surprisingly big!

Everytime I walk into Sephora, I always try this duo on… and it looks perfect on my skin.. but yet I couldn’t fork out the money to actually buy it :( maybe this will be my first purchase in 2009! I want Riviera and Maldives as well!

Merry Christmas btw… going back to Hong Kong tomorrow and let me know if you need anything :D

Ohh those colors are amazing & it look so beautiful on you! my skin isn’t as clear as yours so sometimes I feel a bit reserved about glitter/shimmery blushes. actually blush in general. i unno sometimes I feel like it’s bringing more attention to the brown acne scar/discoloration i’m trying to get rid of on my cheeks when I have blush on, you know? I’m working hard on clearing up my skin though! so one day…one day…

I bought this yesterday and I like this a lot! The guy I’m dating told me that I looked “pretty” today…I owe it to the Nars orgasm blush….and to you! Very subtle and luminous. I am off the China/HK tomorrow, is there any stores that you recommend I go to? I am really into skincare and would like some tips on what to buy. Sigh, I want skin like yours, it’s so perfect. Please email me when you get the chance. I’m sure you hear this all the time, but I love your blog and I think you are incredible!!!!!

p.s. i like the cream blush much better than the powder blush. The application is more natural . Phyllis, do you have any tips on how to “prep” the cream blush? I use bb (blue tube) then I apply the cream blush after that. However, i have some red spots (born with it) that still show up. Tips please ? :)
