No offense but how MAC can come up with this collection is totally beyond my comprehension! The colors are boring and the plastic lavender packaging with holographic stars and glittery red glasses is just tacky. I am so glad this is limited edition!*shudders*

Eye Shadow Trio ($32.50)
Just like the eyeshadow trios from the Heatherette collection, these come in a thin compact with a huge mirror and no brush. The colors are pretty but nothing special. The texture is slightly chalky and not the best to work with either.

I was never looking forward to this collection and I didn’t buy a single thing. Nowadays, I don’t buy anything from MAC (I’ve found better places, like Shu Uemura, for brushes too) except for an occasional Viva Glam lip stick for myself or for friends.
i totally agree that the packaging looks horrible! nothing excites me about this collection at all, though i do like the Possum Nose Pink look.
Actually, I thought the collection was funky and mostly wearable with compacts that you can’t help but turn heads with…just goes to show you that one woman’s trash is another woman’s treasure (ok, I wouldn’t go that far…but I didn’t think the collection was bad). From my point of view, Dame Edna isn’t even a woman, just like M.A.C.ble “Viva Glam” spokespeople in the past. Sometimes “bad taste” is nothing more than just plain fun.
I really love the packaging! It’s fun and thank god there is some colour added!!
lol dame edna is an australian icon.its not MAC style but i like how they have successfully tried to represent my country’s national treasure.its fantastic but i think i will pass on this one.
yuck, I was at my local MAC counter and the lady asked me if I had already seen the “great” new stuff. nah…it really does just look..well tacky, perhaps the colors are ok, but I was just not too excited about this one. I did’t buy a single thing. -.-
