MAC's latest limited edition Give Me Liberty Of London Collection was based on William Morris’ Strawberry Thief print, which dates back to 1883. The collection has some of the prettiest packaging and cutest colors I have seen in a while.

Victoria’s Secret 2008 Fashion Show Makeup Breakdown

18 November 2008

The 2008 Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show took place at the Fontainebleau in Miami beach over the weekend. The theme for this year is Return To Glamour and the show featured a total of 68 outfits which included glittery bras, panties, coats and dresses with a $5 million, 1500-carat bra worn by my favorite VS model Adriana Lima.

The show will air on CBS on December 3rd at 10PM ET/PT but below is a sneak peak of the models’ look for you ladies.

Lead makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury created this year’s super sexy glamorous look with products from Victoria’s Secret Very Sexy Makeup line. The overall look is a “doe-eyed Bambi. It is a little bit dreamy; like a chic silhouette. There is an innocence to it”, said Tilbury.

The models’ eyes were drenched in shimmery gold and brown eyeshadows like Silky Eyeshadow in Chills, Mystified, Between the Sheets and Champagne and lined with Eyeliner in Dark Chocolate. High Definition Mascara in Blackest Black was applied to both top and bottom to give the most luscious lashes.

To play up the cheekbones, Tilbury highlighted and contoured them with Mosaic Bronzer in Goddess, Mosaic Blush in Love Life and Heidi Klum Collection Blush in Jewels.

As for the lips, a peachy color (Perfect Lipstick in Whisper) was applied and topped with a pale pink gloss (Lip Gloss in Intimate) and a nude brown (Heidi Klum Collection Lip Gloss in Cupcake), to complete the deliciously seductive look.

The Victoria’s Secret Bare Bronze collection was also used all over to give models a radiant, bronzed glow.

Lip Gloss in Cupcake and Mosaic Blush in Jewels from the Heidi Klum Collection and Shimmery Body Oil from Bare Bronze collection.

I am liking this year’s look *so* much more than those from 2007 and 2006. What do you guys think?

I love trying to find out what makeup the girls wore on the runway because it alawys looks so beautiful. whenever I search though, and I see backstage photos there are always tons of products not from the victoria’secret makeup line which makes me skeptical.

I am going to go check out these products, I already have the cupcake gloss but I really want that blush you mentioned.

    Great post :)

I don’t get some of the VS models. They look very masculine. There are only a few that are sweet looking. Adrian Lima is overrated.

I tried the Bare Bronze liquid shimmer. While it worked great, giving me that nice bronze glow, make sure you test it on a small patch of skin first. I learned the hard way when I broke out all over, as a result of an allergic reaction. The product worked, but make sure your skin can handle it first.

You are so AMAZING! Thanks so much for those swatches. ♥ I love your blog!

Adriana is also my favorite model. She is SO amazing. I met her in '04 at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas and let me tell you… she looked like a barbie doll. I mean, she was so gorgeous that I seriously doubted her mortality or something. lol.

Thanks for the info, girl. I’ve been searching online like a mad woman trying to figure out what they wore.

Which colours wear in eyes and lips Marissa ;iller?

GREAT info! :) I love this. But i don’t think it is easy to recreate that look, VS models have a TEAM of make up artists/ hair stylists and it is known that it takes 3 hours to complete the look.
