With the new MAC Sonic Chic Collection, MAC finally brought us a blush version of its famous Mineralize Skinfinish – Mineralize Blush ($21)!
Compared to the regular Mineralize Skinfinish, the new blushes are definitely more of a blush with a richer color payoff. They are all shimmery and unlike the regular Mineralize Skinfinishes which can be chunky, these give off a more refined shimmery pearl and add radiance onto the cheeks.
Since they are uber pigmented, I highly suggest applying them with a light hand using MAC #187 Stippling Brush or #129 Powder Blush Brush.
*Merrily – When MAC says this is a “dirty burned red with gold pearl”, they do mean RED. The color itself is very pretty but would be more suited for those with darker skin tones. If you are on the pale side, you definitely would have to apply with a light hand.
*Gentle – This “raspberry with gold pearl” looks more like a plummy color with gold shimmer to me and reminds me of MAC Coygirl Blush.
*Love Joy – This is a “mid-tone brown with gold pearl” that looks like a medium bronze. It has great pigmentation and would work beautifully as a bronzer.
*Nuance – Described as a “mid-tone peach with gold pearl”, this is a really pretty coral. It shows up really subtle on my NC30 skin.
*Pleasantry – This “intense mid-tone blue pink with gold pearl” is like the perfect pink for everyone. It looks a lot of MAC Pink Swoon but with gold shimmer and will make your apples pop.
*Warm Soul – This is a “mid-tone beige with gold” that looks that a really subtle nude color. Like Nuance, it did not show up much at me.
*Gleeful – This “deep, dirty-blue pink with gold pearl” is a cool-toned medium pink and is not as pigmented as the others.
*Love Thing – Like Gentle, this “dirty burgundy with gold pearl” is a pretty plum color but with more red undertones.
*Dainty – This “yellow pink with gold pearl” is a lighter, pinker version of MAC Springsheen and Peachykeen powder blushes. It reminds me a lot of NARS Orgasm and is absolutely gorgeous!
Below is my haul:
Pink Split, Play on Plums, Love Connection and Polar Opposites Mineralize Eyeshadow Duos, Pleasantry and Dainty Mineralize Blushes

ooo i picked up dainty as well. its so pretty! and i also got nuance. cant wait to see u do a look with ur haul. =)
I have always wanted to try these… I never know what to wear with strawberry blond hairt. It seems like a peach base works well. With so much to choose from out there, it gets really difficult.
Nice detailed descriptions & observations! Thank you.
Thanks so much for writing these reviews! I feel much more confident about purchasing online now that I have your descriptions! MAC just doesn’t do a good enough job with theirs. Thanks again!
