After Fafi comes Heatherette, a collection full of drama and glitter and created by New York’s oh-so-hot pop fashion divas Traver Rains and Richie Rich.
Lipstick ($14)
*Hollywood Nights – This “fuchsia pink” is so hot but slightly too bright for me.
*Lollipop Loving – This is a gorgeous “mid-tone coral with subtle green gold iridescence” that is perfect for spring! The glaze formula also made sheerer than it looks and totally wearable. It has definitely become one of my staples!
*Melrose MoodFleshpot – This “light neutral beige” is almost identical to Myth lipstick, a light nude/fleshy color. Although they are both in the Satin formula, Fleshpot feels a lot more moisturizing and goes on a smoother too. Definitely get it if you are into nudes.
Lipglass ($14)
Despite the cute packaging, these did not appeal to me at all. The colors are boring and nothing special at all.
*Bonus Beat (F) – Sheer yellow beige with gold pearlized pigments
*Sock Hop (C) – Soft mid-tone coral
*Style Minx (F) – Fuchsia pink
*Starlet Kiss (F) – Pastel pink
Eye Trio ($32.50)
These limited edition palettes are so pretty and all the colors are new and complement each other so well! The quality is also a lot better than I expected – the pigmentation is great and the texture is highly blendable. If you do not own similar colors, you should definitely check them out!
*Eye Trio 1 (the one on the left)
Mood Ring (VP) – Pastel mint green
Cloudburst (V) – True black with subtle green pearlized pigments
Hoppin’ (F) – Pastel peach
Eye Trio 2 (the one on the right)
Baby Petals (S) – Pastel pink
V.I.P. (V) – Mid-tone yellow pink
Cassette – Blackened eggplant
Glitter & Pigment ($16.50 & $19.50)
*3D Silver – Multi-reflective silver
*Pink Pearl – This “mid-tone pink with blue reflection” color is a repromote that is more than beautiful! It is very versatile and can be used as an eyeshadow, a blush (when applied sparingly), a lip color AND on the nails.
*Jardin Aires – This “gilded peach with silver reflection” is a repromote from the Strange Hybrid collection. It is almost like a champagne color and is very similar to Dazzleray pigment. It is super pigmented with tons of glitter and is oh-so-pretty! Some people may find the chunky texture hard to work with but the problem can easily be fixed by patting it on instead of sweeping.
*Reflects Gold – Translucent glitter with gold reflection
Dual Edge Pencil ($16.50)
OMG the new eye pencils are *so* pretty! Each pencil comes with two colors – one in a creamy formula and one jam packed with glitter. Both sides go on uber smoothly without tugging my skin. They do smear easily though so I would suggest using a primer underneath.
*Black Funk/Pop Blue – True black/turquoise with silver glitter
*Phone Me/Text Me – Charcoal grey/metallic silver with silver glitter
*Nighthawk/Front Row – Coffee brown/neutral peach with gold glitter
*Fab Orchid/Dash Lily – Jewel-tone purple/mid-tone lavender with silver glitter
Beauty Powder ($22)
These look *so* cute in the pink case and they are, needless to say, new and limited edition (how typical of MAC!!) Qualitywise, they are just okay. They do go on smoothly but sadly, the pigmentation is not that great. I am actually surprised that Smooth Harmony was sold out at the counter the second day after it has been released.
*Smooth Harmony – Medium golden bronze
*Alpha Girl – Pink with gold nuances
Nail Lacquer ($10)
*Lola Devine (C) – Soft mid-tone coral (LE)
*$$$$$ Yes (F) – Metallic silver foil
Lashes ($11)
*She’s Good – Similar to #7 (patent finish)
*She’s Bad – Fishnet texture (patent finish)
