FOTD: Hilary Duff in Blender Magazine Inspired Smoky Eyes Makeup Look

If there was one smoky eye master, Hilary Duff would have nailed it! Not only is Miss Duff’s signature look – smoky cat eyes paired with pinks lips and cheeks – uber gorgeous but it will work on pretty much anyone. Below is a look from a photo shoot she did with Blender that I absolutely adore. Now if only I was half as gorgeous as she is *lol*

  1. Hi Phyllis,

I don’t know if you remember me (and I don’t blame you at all because we barely could see each other) but I met you at HighDive at UIUC one night through Larry Yang (I do remember that you had some very pretty green eye shadow on which seemed to illuminate in the lights).

Anyway, I actually found your website a year ago accidentally and I totally recognized you!

Regardless, I am actually studying abroad this fall semester in Paris and I know that you’ve traveled a bit and plus you’re in london so Europe is your backyard. Do you have any tips for me?

    Vicki Ku
    Can you contact me at

PS: Is it totally weird that I remembered you?

  2. well, considering the amount of Photoshopping they did to her, and that you didn’t do more than crop your photo to its current size, i’d say you’re just as pretty as she is, if not more so

i think i’ll try this look sometime

  3. hello. i just stumbled upon your blog and i really love your tutorials, especially the ones on eye makeup.

speaking of eye makeup, i was wondering if you could do a tutorial on anna tsuchiya’s look in taiwan vogue. close up one, close up two. i like how she pulled off red eyeshadow with the liquid eyeliner.

  4. hi phyllis, just wanted to let you know that these pictures have exceeded the bandwidth limit. please update them? Thanks!!
