Celebrity Makeup Breakdown: Nicole Richie Inspired Purple Eye Makeup

Here is a breakdown of Nicole Richie’s look for her book as requested by the gorgeous Chantelle. Girl you will definitely look *hot* in this! =)

Fake that flawless glow by mixing a dime-sized liquid bronzer into your regular foundation. Make sure you blend well especially around the edges. Contour your cheekbones with a bronzer and highlight your t-zone with a luminizer.

Brush your eyebrows upwards and fill in any sparse areas with powder. Apply a lavender color over your entire upper eyelid and extend the color all the way up to your brow bone. Sweep a rich plum color on your crease and line your upper and lower lash line with the same color. Darken the outer corner of your eye and crease by blending a black color with the plum color. Blend the two color outward and make sure there are no harsh lines. Run a black liquid eyeliner over your top and bottom lash lines. Finally, highlight your brow bone with a shimmery color and apply several coats of black mascara. I would recommend using Hard Candy’s Eye Shadow Quartet in Star for this look.

Apply a pink lipstick with matching gloss on top.

  1. hi! I just read alot of your blogs and I loved it! I am a asian female aswell, and the thing is, when I looked at your false eyelashes guide, I was alittle dissapointed that you didnt explain how to put it on for the lower eyelashes! my lower eyelashes are very very thin, and mascara is impossible to put on them!! help!

  2. i’m always too scared to do the darker shade of shadow on the crease of the eye. I feel as though it’s almost impossible to blend it in and make it look natural. i’m envious of how any eye make up seems to look good on you though =P
