Azuree Soleil, Tom Ford’s latest collection for Estee Lauder, is “a collection for the woman whose fantasy takes her away to sexy, remotes beaches”.
The collection consists of powder eyeshadow duos, cream blushes that come in a stick, lipsticks, bronzers, eyeliners, nail polishes, lip glosses and a compact mirror which are all limited edition. The color themes in the collection are Bronzee, which are mostly bronzes and golds and Soiree, which are mostly plums and wines.
While these colors are more than fantastic for the summer and the ad looks gorgeous, the actual products are kind of boring and nothing unique. The eyeshadows are poorly pigmented, the blushes are gritty and the jade and gold packaging, like the usual Estee Lauder packaging, is nothing but tacky and reminds me of my aunt (sorry this line just is not doing it for me!) The fragrance, however, seems to have gotten lots of raves so if you are into beachy scents, definitely check it out!

Dear Phyllis,
I’m so into the Bronze look this summer. Any Body tanning lotion and Face Bronzing powder you would recommend? Tks !

hey Taj, I love Avene’s self-tanner (it’s very gentle on the skin and the color develops beautifull) and MAC’s Bronzer.
Dear Phyllis,
im so glad i found your blog!
May i ask a random question: what colour hair-dye would you recommend/ is in trend at the moment? Also, is it better to get highlights as well or just one plain colour?
It’ll be great if you could recommend a colour code with reference to the hair-dye brand!
Thanksss <333
p.s. I’m chinese with light skintone
Hi Phyllis,
I found your website while researching my newly purchased Hawaiian Tropic Daily Moisturizer. (love it!) You are so talented! I love how you are sharing all your makeup know-how and beauty tips with the online community. That’s so cool of you. I’m Chinese-American so it’s great to get a fresh Chinese perspective on makeup. Thanks!
