MAC Ballooncy Collection Reviews

Pigments ($19.50)
The two new pigments from this collection are Viz-A-Violet and Helium which are both limited edition and really gorgeous colors. Viz-A-Violet as pictured on the left, is a “mid-tone violet with blue & red pearl” that goes on sheerer than it looks and kind of reminds me of a darker version of Lovely Lily pigment. Helium is a “light pink with red duochrome” that looks like a combo of Kitschmas and Pink Opal. The texture feels slightly gritty just like Kitschmas but the color is great as a highligher or base.

Pandamonium Eyes: 4 ($36)
This limited edition eyeshadow palette contains four new shades – Cloudbound, an off-white with gold pearlized pigments (Frost); Up at Dawn, a soft lilac (Veluxe pearl); Violet Trance, a rich intense purple (Matte) and Pandamonium, a smokey grey with silver pearlized pigments (Velvet). All four colors are super wearable, highly pigmented and the combos you can create with them are endless. You can do a soft smoky eye with Up at Dawn with Pandamonium or go all Goth just like the ad above (I personally would not recommend it since I find it weird looking). Either way, the colors in this quad are really pretty and my favorite is Pandamonium. If you like cool colors and do not own smiliar shades, definitely get this.

Softsparkle Eye Pencil ($13.50)
These are all *so* pretty! Goldenair is a white gold with gold pearlized pigments; Mint & Olive is a mid tone moss green with gold pearlized pigments; Iris Accents is a pale violet with silver pearlized pigments and Nightsky is a true black with silver pearlized pigments. They are all limited edition with the latter two being repromotes. Just like Bourjois’ Glitter Pencil Liner, they are verstaile, smooth and go on super soft without tugging the skin. The glitter is slightly chunkier compared to the Bourjois pencil but it does make the eyes pop. If you have sensitive eyes, however, you may want to be careful since the glitter does have the tendancy to move around. I also would not recomend using this on the inner rim. For a different look, try layering it over a dark liner or eyeshadow.
