MAC Danse Collection Pigment and Mineralize Skinfinish Reviews

January 6, 2007

The two new Pigments ($19.50) in this collection are Pastorale and Aire-De-Blu. The former, described as a “khaki green gold pearl and sparkle”, is probably the most unique and prettiest green pigment I have ever seen. The latter, a “sky blue with silver sparkle”, is exactly as described. Both colors are limited edition and extremely gorgeous colors for spring. The texture is also very fine and highly blendable. If you like pastel colors, definitely pick them up. One word for those with darker skintones, you might want to skip these as they can look ashy on you.

There are also two new Mineralize Skinfinishes ($24.50) in this collection. Glissade is a “golden peach with a muted metallic plum veining” which looks a lot like one of my HG blushes, NARS Orgasm. Lightscapade, on the other hand, is “the first Mineralize Skinfinish to work threads of colors from the Danse color palette together to create a beautifully nuanced shade”. To make it short, it is uber shimmery with shades of pale blue, pink and yellow. While it is pretty to look at and already sold out in most counters and online, I do not see how Lightscapade can be used other than a highlighter. I ended up just getting Glissade. If you need help getting Lightscapade, just let me know.

Thank you for the review of the new MAC concelers, I’ve been looking for one for my oily skin & the portable compact looks adorable. =)

will you be using glissade as a blush?

Yup Glissade is like a pink version of NARS Orgasm blush and I’ve been using this on my apples every day to make them pop.
