Makeup Tips For Homecoming

October 15, 2006

Homecoming is around the corner so here are a few makeup tips for all of you as requested.

Miss Teen Universe USA 2006 Katie Blair and Miss Universe 2006 Zuleyka Rivera

Tips
* As you can see from the above pictures, the girls, despite their different skin tones, all have one thing in common – they all look fresh and glowy with flawless skin, neat eyebrows, defined eyes, rosy cheeks and luscious lips.

* Try not to do your makeup half-way. If you are going to use foundation, do it all the way to avoid patches.

* Now is not the time to experiment. Leave all the bright eyeshadows and lipsticks for some other time and stick to colors you know you look good in. You should also do a few trials to make sure everything looks good together.

* Your makeup does not have to match your dress completely. Instead, it should compliment it so it remains the main focus.

More Tips from the Miss Universe Website
* Use Visine on your acne before applying makeup. It truly “gets the red out!”

* If you run out of shaving cream, use conditioner instead. It softens the hair making it easier to shave.

* To reduce puffiness, place the back of a chilled spoon on your eyes.

* Use Vaseline as an under-eye moisturizer.

* Rub a dry body brush in circular motions on your stomach and legs everyday before you shower. This increases the circulation in you body and helps reduce the appearance of cellulite.

* Use lip pumice or a toothbrush to remove dead skin from your lips and then apply lip balm before going to bed for softer lips.

* When applying eye shadow, use a lighter color on the inside corner of the eyelid and darker colors as you work toward the outer sides. White is always great on the inside corners. This will draw more attention to your eyes.

I have a question about this tip

    * Rub a dry body brush in circular motions on your stomach and legs everyday before you shower. This increases the circulation in you body and helps reduce the appearance of cellulite.

By dry body brush, do you mean those hard ones with bristles? ><

I would say that you should not put vaseline under your eyes. It has some water-thing in it that makes them itchy and my eyes react as if I were allergic to something. So be careful guys, its better to moist with a good eyecream for dry skin.
