At Chloe Fall 2009, models walked the runway with big, beautiful hair and heavily contoured faces. So ’80s yet so hot!
Makeup
Makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury created an “all-American sportiness, like an Antonio Lopez drawing” look on the models that is reminiscent of the early ’80s.
The eyes glimmered in shades of taupe, chocolate and golds (MAC eyeshadows in Swiss chocolate, Mystery and Carbon) with several coats of mascara.
Dirty browns like MAC Sculpting Powder in Sculpt and Shadowy were placed on the cheeks and temples to create a heavily contoured look while a touch of concealer and balm were used on the lips to seal the look.
Hair
Drawing inspiration from Christie Brinkley and Brooke Shields, hairstylist Guido Palau gave models big, flowy hair with a side part.
Palau started out by applying a generous amount of Redken Thickening Lotion to create volume. Next he blow-dried the hair and and created large curls with tongs before brushing it out so the hair stayed soft and bouncy.

I really like their heavily contoured look!
could you do a version of this? 🙂
It seems as if the Mac Sculpting Powders require a MacPRO membership. How can we as regular Mac consumers get a hold of these products?
Hi Christine,
You don’t need to be a member to buy the Pro products. You can visit any Pro store or order over the phone.
