Eyeko Magic Liquid Eyeliner Review

October 19, 2009

With Eyeko Magic Liquid Eyeliner, you can now get more out of your powder eyeshadows and use them as liquid liner!

All you have to do is dip the applicator into a powder eyeshadow and the clear, fragrance-free liquid will instantly transform the powder into eyeliner. The felt-tip applicator also makes drawing on even the thinnest line so easy, minus any tugging or poking at the skin. And once the liner dries off – which only takes seconds – the color stays vibrant until I take it off. I have used the product with eyeshadows from MAC, Yaby and Stila and it worked great every time.

My only complaint is cleaning the applicator. Eyeko says to wipe the tip after each use but I find it very difficult to get the color off and the tip even fell off after a few tries. Other than that, this is truly a bottle of magic and a great addition to any makeup collection!

it’s a bit annoying if the tip fall off… ummm.. and if the colour doesnt come off easily then i guess it does affect the colour of the next application.

I have heard that you will pretty much get the same result by using saline solution(vasine or any eye drop)with a brush as opposed to spending the money on a bottle of shadow transformer…

Anyway, I just use plain water on some Stila shadow and it’s good enough for me (well, along with the too faced primer)…

    Angie,

Yes it’s such a shame cos the product itself is superb!

This product reminds me of something a use quite often: Medusa’s Makeup Eyeliner Seal. It has the same function as Eyeko Magic Liquid Eyeliner.

Amy, does the tip come off? is it easy to clean?

  • Reply amy October 20, 2009 at 5:48 pm

    Hi Angelina,

The Medusa’s Eyeliner Seal does not come with a built in brush, it is a bottle of liquid that turns eyeshadow and pigments into eyeliner when mixed together. In that sense it is similar as Eyeko; however for the Medusa product you will need to use your own eyeliner brush such as MAC 209. Hope that clear things up for you.

I bought the Eyeko 3-in-1 cream and it was SO DISAPPOINTING!
It’s too drying and cakes up my eyeshadow & foundation. Wait, it cakes up everything! I doubt I’ll get this, since I can always use water or eyedrops

    AtelierGal,

I’m sorry the 3-in-1 cream didn’t work for you. I have both the regular one and the tinted one and while I do think that they are kind of thick and not very moisturizing, they are great as highlighters/bronzers. The key is to not apply it all over like you would with a moisturizer but just put a dab here and there.

I was just wondering when you ordered, how long did it take for you to receive the product?
