Makeup Tips For Prom

I have been getting a *lot* of requests for prom makeup tips lately so hopefully this will clear up some of your questions =)

What Products To Wear
This is all up to you. You can wear as many as ten twenty products or as little as five. But no matter what you do, here are some products that I recommend you use:

* Foundation. Even if you do not wear it on a daily basis, you will thank yourself for wearing a little foundation on special occasions. Remember to use one that matches your skin completely. If in doubt, go with a color that is darker instead of lighter because a) a lighter face on a darker neck is just hideous b) if your foundation has light reflecting particles, the flash may make your skin appear lighter than it really is.

* Powder. This should be applied only on oily areas (forehead, chin and nose) with a light hand and for touchups. Powder do not photograph well and it can make you look ten years older.

* Evian Mist/MAC Fix+ Spray. Spritzing this will definitely help keep your makeup looking fresh and dewy.

* Blush. Do remember to put on some blush because the flash in cameras will wash you out.

* Eyelash Curler. Curling your lashes is a must. I repeat, a MUST!

* Lip Balm. Chapped lips are a big no-no so definitely make sure your lips are soft and smooth before you apply anything on top.

Makeup For Homecoming

Homecoming is around the corner so here are a few makeup tips for all of you as requested.

Miss Teen Universe USA 2006 Katie Blair and Miss Universe 2006 Zuleyka Rivera

Tips
* As you can see from the above pictures, the girls, despite their different skin tones, all have one thing in common – they all look fresh and glowy with flawless skin, neat eyebrows, defined eyes, rosy cheeks and luscious lips.

* Try not to do your makeup half-way. If you are going to use foundation, do it all the way to avoid patches.

* Now is not the time to experiment. Leave all the bright eyeshadows and lipsticks for some other time and stick to colors you know you look good in. You should also do a few trials to make sure everything looks good together.

* Your makeup does not have to match your dress completely. Instead, it should compliment it so it remains the main focus.

Makeup for Teens Part I: What To Wear

When it comes to makeup for teens, the key is to keep everything sheer and natural.

Face
Never cover your entire face with foundation. Teens usually have good skin so use a tinted moisturizer to even out your skin tone and apply concealer to cover up zits. Apply powder only on oily areas and to set concealer. Powdering your face all over can add years to your age.

Right now I am really lemming mark’s Toute Sweet Whipped Cream Eyeshadow. Never heard of the brand? It is a sister line of Avon which targets teens and college students. When the line first came out in 2003, I was still in college hence this idea of skincare/makeup for young people really appealed to me.

• Tru Lie Hook Up Concealer
• Glow Baby Glow Hook Up Lip Gloss
• Clean Machine Cleanser
• Clearing Trend Decongesting Scrub Mask
• Crystal Shimmer Hook Up Powder

Overall, I find mark to be a pretty good line for young people. Their prices are cheap and the compact sizes of their products is a definitely HUGE plus for me since I never use anything up. Another thing I liked is their clever packaging. You can connect two products together to save space and is perfect for travel!

I highly recommend the following:

• I-Mark Custom Pick Eye Shadow
• Tru Lie Hook Up Concealer

mark is available on www.meetmark.com or through mark reps.
