I have always loved The Body Shop Body Butter ($17.50) and it is the only lotion that I would use on my body religiously – I am usually too lazy to apply lotion after I shower *lol*

These babies come in cute, colorful tubs and they smell so good I literally want to eat them! The texture is also nice and thick and it does spread like butter. Plus it is non-greasy and sinks right into your skin, leaving it baby soft and moisturized for up to 24 hours!

There is currently a deal going on in the UK where you can get a 200ml tub at half price (£6 as supposed to £12) so run to your nearest counter and pick one up!

Flavors That I Love
* Brazil Nut
* Grapefruit
* Peach

I have been getting e-mails and comments asking me how I keep my skin clear. The answer is good genes, a normal diet (I can’t really say healthy because I live for junk food! *lol*), lots of water and a good skincare regime. Right now my HG skincare line is nothing but the cheap yet effective Nivea Visage that is widely available at Boots and Superdrugs. Below are a list of products that I use daily:

Nivea Visage Aqua Sensation Moisturizing Gel-Cream (£4.99)
This is definitely a godsend! It works just as great as Biotherm Aquasource but costs at least half as much. It contains cucumber extract, ginseng and magnesium to provide 24 hour hydration and it feels very light and refreshing on the skin. I apply a thin layer of this all over my face every night and my skin is instantly plumped up and stays supple until I wake up the next morning. Highly recommended for dehydrated skin!

Murad Waterproof Sunblock SPF 30 ($35) is definitely one of my favorite suncreen! It contains Hyaluronic Acid and phyto-lipids to preserve skin’s moisture barrier along Pomegranate Extract to enhance sun protection and prevent free radical damage.

The sunscreen feels very hydrating without being greasy and the smell is pretty tolerable. I like to use this straight after I wash my face in the morning (with or without a moisturizer underneath) then apply a thin layer of MAC Select Sheer Powder with my Cats Cosmetics Kabuki brush. My face stays glowy and flawless all day this way. I also love that it also contains SPF 30 and is waterproof which gives me enough protection for a normal day indoors. I am definitely going to stock up on this!

I admit it – I only got Coppertone Waterbabies Spray SPF50 (~$6) because I fell in love with the pink bottle and the baby. Lucky for me, this sunscreen is so much more than just a cute bottle.

The sunscreen contains Avobenzone (3%), Homosalate (13%), Octisalate (5%), Octocrylene (2%) and Oxybenzone (4%) for both UVA and UVB protection. Thanks to its super gentle formula that is clinically tested to be non-stinging even on baby’s delicate skin, it works great on my sensitive skin. It never dries out my skin or breaks me out. It does go on a little greasy but for someone with dry skin like me, it is perfect and I do not need another moisturizer underneath. I have also worn makeup on top of this and it never makes my makeup slide off, not even in the steaming Los Angeles weather.

Not to mention, you get a lot of product for its price. It comes in a huge 8oz. bottle that lasts forever and all you need is one pump for the face and two for the arm or leg.

No wonder supermodel Heidi Klum is also an avid user of this!

Flip through any Japanese magazine and you will definitely see Shiseido Anessa Neo Sunscreen SPF50 ($38) – yes it is THAT popular in Asia. So when it first came out in Hong Kong, I literally ran out and got myself a bottle. But sadly, that turned out to be a not-so-great idea.

Like most Japanese sunscreens, this goes on greasy but dries to a very matte finish and I mean very. In fact, it is so matte that it made my nose slightly flaky. Plus it gave my skin a ghostly white cast which was so not hot! So yes this may come with a high SPF and pretty models in their ads, but I will not be buying this again.

Week Two
I have been using this religiously for two weeks now – twice a day on my thigh area and once on my face every other day – and half of the 60ml bottle is almost gone. So far my skin has gotten smoother and is definitely less dry. My stretch marks have also faded slightly and my thigh area just feels nicer and a lot smoother. I have also tried applying this on a zit on my forehead (yes I do get them too!) and even though I hardly scar when I get zits, this seemed to help it heal faster. I will continue using this and will update in a month.
