Spring is almost here so here are two of my favorite spring looks for this year.
Look #1: Glitter Galore
As seen on the Christian Dior and Anna Sui Spring 2008 fashion shows, glitter is making its way back to the runway.
The key to wearing glitter on your face is to focus on one feature. If you want to play up your eyes, either dab a bit of glitter on the inner corners, line your bottom lashes with a glitter liner or you can go all out like the picture on the left. Just remember to keep the rest of your face understated with just gloss or lipstick. Alternatively, mix your favorite gloss with glitter or pat glitter over your lipstick. Unless you are trying to look drag or do a photoshoot, do not try to do glitter on both your eyes and lips – it will be an overkill.
If you are having trouble making the glitter stick to your skin, I highly recommend MAC’s Water-based Mixing Medium. It is available only at the Pro stores but trust me this stuff works like a charm. All you have to do is wet your brush with it then dip it into the glitter and gently pat onto your eye/lip area.
Held at Hollywood’s Kodak theatre on 15th November, the annual Victoria’s Secret fashion show finally aired on CBS last night. The models featured this year include regulars like Adriana Lima (she’s my FAVORITE!), Alessandra Ambrosio, Heidi Klum, Miranda Kerr, Selita Ebanks, Izabel Goulart, Karolina Kurkova, Marisa Miller etc while special guest performances include the reunited Spice Girls, Seal and Will.I.Am.
Beauty-wise, the look is *hot* as usual and this year it is all about a dramatic smoky eye, luxurious, sensual skin and fresh, flirty lips.
Dark bushy eyebrows, ultra pale lips and Egyptian-style cat eyes colored in solid blues and greens is the idea behind the MAC for Alexander McQueen collection.
From the Alexander McQueen Fashion Show:
Jacked from MAC, these looks are anything but H-O-T!
Vivid colors from the 60s are so in right now.
The annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show always has one of the best makeup and this year, it is no different. Led by makeup artist Linda Hay, the theme was a sexy babydoll look that is sweet yet naughty. Read on to find out what products were used on the models!
