Purple has always been one of my favorite colors to use on the eyes. It is the perfect color to wear for fall and winter and just makes my eyes pop! Below is a step-by-step makeup tutorial on how you can create a great purple smoky eye without even using purple eyeshadow (yes you can!)
With color blocking bigger than ever this season, here is a look inspired by the fluro eyeshadow and bright lips spotted on the Christian Dior Spring/Summer 2011 runway. I love how colorful and pretty yet simple it is. Read on to see what I used to dupe it!
Spring is finally here so below is a graphic rainbow eye using the Yaby eyeshadows I picked up.
At Tyler Rose swim show on day 4 of the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim 2011, the look was all about a fresh, sun kissed make up look that was inspired by David Lee Roth’s iconic “California Girls” music video. Make Up For Ever Alliance artist Lottie gave models a subtle pink flush around the eyes and cheeks with eyes defined in shades of black and rose.
At the Preen Fall 2010 show, James Kaliardos for MAC created a “pretty, romantic yet futuristic look” with “natural tones, mauve, pinks and lavender” that are perfect not just for fall, but spring. I’m sooooooo going to be wearing this look!
After seeing the pics of Lady Gaga’s geisha-inspired lips, I decided to create my very own geisha-inspired look. But unlike the traditional geisha with chalk-white skin, eyes and brows drenched in red and carefully sculpted lips, I wanted to add in a modern twist to make it more wearable. I left the skin bare with just a bit of concealer, swapped out the red for fuchsia and dabbed instead of painted the color on.
