FOTD: Lily Cole Inspired 60’s Mod Makeup Tutorial

I have gotten quite a number of people asking about the Lily Cole ad for Accessorize I posted so here is me trying to dupe the look (minus the crazy big hair of course *lol*)

Eyeshadow Tips: How to Wear Gold Eyeshadow

Unlike the gold eyeshadow we see last year, the color this year is more metallic with a bit of cool undertones. Below are two different ways to wear it as requested by Shellie.

Look #1: Gold + Silver = Cool Look
As spotted on the Chanel Spring 2007 runway, gold + silver eyes are oh-so-hot right now! To recreate the look, apply the silver color of Chanel Lumiere Dartifices ($75) on your entire upper eyelid and the gold color from the same palette on your lower eye. Alternatively, you try MAC Perverted Pearl eyeshadow and Jane Goldilocks.

As for the rest of your face, keep it as bare as possible. Use a tinted moisturizer and concealer to cover up all flaws and even out skin tone. Brush an eyebrow gel on your eyebrows. Draw a thin line along your upper lash line and apply several coats of black mascara. Finish the look with a slick of peachy pink lip color.

Bourjois 10 Hour Sleep Effect Anti-fatigue Foundation Review

Bourjois 10 Hour Sleep Effect Anti-fatigue Foundation just came out here in London! The foundation claims to be packed with vitamins E, F, B5 and minerals to fake revitalized and energized skin that looks like you have had 10 hours of sleep. Sounds awesome right? Well I tested it out and like Chanel foundations, it did give my skin a nice dewy glow. It also felt very creamy and super easy to blend. The coverage was medium and buildable. I have combination skin but do not need powder to set either.

My Lash Extension Experience with Ardell DuraLash Naturals

I have always been dying to try lash extension and thanks to Michelle, I finally got my hands on Ardell DuraLash Naturals Extension Kit. This was my first time doing lash extension and all I can say is boy does it take practice and lots and lots of patience!

Since I have Asian lashes, I chose the Short Lash in Black. The pack comes with 56 knotted individual lashes that are slightly longer than my natural lashes. Following the instructions on the pack, I picked up a cluster of hair with my favorite Tweezerman tweezers, dipped it in the Ardell LashTite Individual Lash Adhesive and randomly placed it on top of my natural lashes and near the roots. I started from the middle of my eye and worked my way outwards. After fiddling around for almost 15 minutes, I finally got 5 clusters on each eye. When I was done, I was pretty happy with the result – it was natural yet you could definitely tell my lashes got thicker and longer.
