Nails have been making quite a statement on the runways of New York Fashion Week Spring 2012 and here’s one of my favorite looks, “Harlequin Hardware” manicures created by CND‘s Candice Manacchio at the Diego Binetti show.
“A California girl who has come to New York” inspired the hair, makeup and nails at the DKNY Spring 2012 show. The end result? Sun-kissed skin, bright eyes, beachy hair with lots of volume and bold, nude nails.
Translucent skin with lightly bronzed contoured cheeks, a sheer golden lip, shimmering eyes with muted yellow shadow and neutral nails ruled the runway of Derek Lam Spring 2012 show.
At the Thakoon Spring 2012 show, makeup artist Diane Kendal working for NARS created strong brows, contoured eye and luminous skin to go with the “iconic American cowboy gone multi-cultural” theme.
“Elizabeth Taylor at the gym” was the idea on makeup artist Tom Pecheux’s mind when he created the strong brow at Altuzarra S/S 2012 with MAC Cosmetics.
“A free-spirited woman in pursuit of love” was the inspiration behind the Joy Cioci Spring 2012 presentation. And to reflect that, Uzo, NARS National Makeup Artist gave models dewy skin and bright, neon-red lips while CDN‘s Candice Manacchio gave models “Lucite Lace” manicures.
