Majolica Majorca Automatic Liner Review

I was totally sucked into Majolica Majorca Automatic Liner by its pretty commericals and cute packaging.

While the promo pictures show a great selection of gorgeous, metallic colors, the liner comes in softer colors and is not as pigmented as shown. I have BK999, which is supposedly a rich black but it shows up a dark gray at most on my NC30 skin. To get a solid black line, you really need to layer it on.

The formula is also a little runnier than my favorite Inoui Liner, making it harder to draw a fine line.

I do like the brush a lot though – the bristles are very soft and do not tug at my skin.

For ~$20, there are definitely better options out there. I will not repurchase.

MAC Powerpoint Eye Pencil ($13.50)
When MAC came out with these, I was stoked. Unlike MAC’s regular eye pencil, these are so much more easier to blend and they stay on a lot better too. They are also different from MAC’s Eye Kohl because they are waterproof. I have Forever Green which is a shimmery forest emerald green and it makes my brown eyes pop.

MAC Eye Kohl ($13.50)
I have this in Smolder, a basic black color. It is very soft and super easy to blend. There are also many pretty colors to choose from. The only downside to kohls is that they smudge like crazy. Having said that, they are great for the smoky eyes look. But if you have oily skin or the habit of rubbing your eyes, do not even think of getting this.

MAC Pearlglide Liners ($14.50)
These are definitely MAC’s best pencil liners! They are ultra creamy and glide on so easily! There are a total of 8 gorgeous colors available and they are all rich and metallic with a sparkly finish. You can smudge them out for a softer look or you can just let them set for a more solid effect. The staying power is also great. I ended up with Black Russian and Rave and they make my brown eyes pop! Click here for the swatches.
