MAC Viva Glam VI Special Edition Lipstick Review & Swatches on Actual Lips
Here is me wearing the new MAC Viva Glam VI Special Edition Lipstick. MAC describes this is a “soft blue pink” but I do not see much cool tones. On me, it shows up as a your-lips-but-better rosy color which is perfect for the everyday look. Thanks to its Lustre formula, it is also fairly moisturizing and easy to wear. I will definitely be grabbing for this a lot.

How To: Wear Red Lipstick
Red lips are oh-so-hot this season. It is spotted all over the runway, in magazines and makeup counters. But before you dig up your reds and start wearing them away, read on for a few tips on how to do the perfect red lips:
* Any shade of red – strawberry, burgundy, cherry, berry – is hot! The only reds you should avoid are metallic and glittery red. Self-explanatory.
* As for the finish, matte is definitely the way to go but if you do not have a perfect lip line like me or you are not used to bright colors, use a lip gloss or stain instead. I *love* MAC Tinted Lipglass in Russian Red!

How To: Choose A Lip Color
Here’s for Wing =)
To choose a lip color that is right for you, you have to consider the following:
1. The Look You Are Going After
Dark colors will make you look more mature while young colors will make you look younger. If you are doing a dark smoky eye, keep your lips nude. Similarly, if you are doing a nude eye, go with a bold lip color.
2. Natural Skin Tone
Pale skins look good in reds with blue undertones, light pinks, honey, mocha and pinkish beiges. Medium skins are flattered by rich reds with brown or yellow undertones, pinks with brown undertones, medium browns from mocha to caramel. Redheads should go for brownish undertones like raisiny reds, and deep peach shades. Deeper skin tones like brownish reds and plums, sheerest pinks, pink-glossed beige and virtually any shade of brown. Olive skins look good in brownish reds and berries, deepest pinks, chocolate, yellow-browns and plummy browns.
