Graphic eye makeup dominated the red carpet of the 2013 Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Annual Costume Institute Gala last night. Inspired by 80s film, “Ladies And Gentlemen, The Fabulous Stains”, makeup Artist Erin Ayanian created a soft look with NARS Larger Than Life Long-Wear Eyeliner in Via Veneto and Barrow Street on Dakota Fanning.
With bridal season coming up, take a cue from Talia Shobrook, lead makeup artist for the Marchesa Bridal Spring 2013 runway show, on how to create a look that is whimsical, effervescent and totally wearable.
To complement the vision of angelic romance at Marchesa A/W 2012 collection, Laura Mercier makeup artist Talia Shobrook created gilded eyes with luminous skin while Frederic Fekkai Lead Stylist Renato Campora gave models a braided updo.
Laura Mercier Moisturizing Foundation ($40) used to be my holy grail foundation. It comes in an 1 oz bottle with a pump for easy and hygienic application. There are a total of 7 shades with different undertones available and Sunny Beige is a good match for my NC30 skin.
When I mix this with Laura Mercier Foundation primer (another of my faves), it stays on and looks fresh all day. Since it offers medium to full coverage, one drop would suffice to even out my whole face. Plus it is super easy to blend and very moisturizing for dry skin without adding grease. I cannot say more about this foundation – I *love* it!
Laura Mercier Moisturizing Foundation is available at Nordstrom and Sephora.
