Hair
Going for a look that creates a beautiful silhouette from both the front and back, Frederic Fekkai Stylist Renato Campora created a classic retro look on Kate.

Renato began by creating a side part and applying Fekkai Full Blown Volume Styling Whip to wet hair. He then blow dried the hair straight. Using a one- inch curling iron, Renato created small tight waves through the hair. Lastly, he secured Kate’s hair back with bobby pins and wrapped her hair into a low bun using an elastic to secure. He finished the look by spraying her hair with Fekkai COIFF Sheer Hold Hairspray.

Runway Beauty: L’Wren Scott S/S 2012 Makeup at NYFW

At the L’Wren Scott S/S 2012 show, Lancôme’s Artistic Director for Makeup Aaron De Mey created a “super bronzed” complexion with chocolate eyes and soft bronze lips.

Face
• Teint Miracle Lit-from-Within Foundation
• Star Bronzer in Solaire – along the cheeks, nose, chin and halo of the face

Eyes
• Color Design 5 Pan Palette in Golden Frenzy – applied to the inner corner to really make the eyes pop
• Le Crayon Khôl in Black Coffee – along upper and lower lash line and into the crease
• Color Design Eyeshadow in Vintage and Mochaccino – blended on top of the liner for a smoky look
• Hypnôse Drama Mascara in Excessive Black – to create “think and chunky” lashes
• Juicy Tubes in Pure – dabbed onto eyelids to make the eye makeup look worn and “deconstructed”

Lips

At the Chris Benz Spring 2012 show, Lancome‘s Daniel Martin used Candy Darling – a 1960′s nightclub fixture – as muse and created fresh, clean skin with shades of mint green on the eyes, tangerine blush on the cheeks and a bright, pouty lip.

Runway Beauty: Victoria Beckham S/S 2012 Hair and Makeup

To complement the modern, chic Victoria Beckham’s Spring 2012 collection, makeup artist Charlotte Tilbury used Lancome products to give models a “handsome” and “sporty” look while Redken Creative Consultant Guido created a unique pulled-back hairstyle that was sleek and sophisticated in the front yet girly in the back.

Face
Charlotte started by creating fresh, glowing skin with Teint Miracle Foundation. She shaded and highlighted the face with Star Bronzer Matte and Éclat Miracle Illuminator and applied Translucence pressed powder to the T-zone.

Eyes
For the eyes, Liner Design in Bronze Couture (available April 2012) was mixed with Absolue Bx moisturizer and applied to the crease and then topped with Juicy Tubes in Pure for a glossy finish. Eyebrows were groomed and slightly arched with Le Crayon Poudre brow pencil to give the look a feminine edge.

Lips
To mute the lips, Charlotte applied Effacernes Concealer on them.

Hair
“I needed to break the clean, sleek lines in the front to modernize the look, so I created a rough matte texture in the back. The key is to make it look effortless, which I did by using two distinct textures in one look. Some find it difficult to wear their face so exposed, but the boldness and austerity of the forehead in this look is what makes it beautiful,” said Guido.

Starting with dry hair, Guido combed back a 4-5 inch top section from the forehead to the crown and applied a generous amount of Hardwear 16 Super Strength Sculpting Gel into the whole section before clipping the end of the section up out of the way. Then, he applied Guts 10 Root Targeted Volume Spray Foam through the remainder of the hair until evenly distributed and damp with the product. Next, he clipped the front section at the crown back with a metal bar clip and coated the top section with Glass 01 Smoothing Serum for a lacquered finish. Finally, he let the hair air dry or rough dry with a blow dryer and then added Forceful 23 Super Strength Finishing Spray for texture, concentrating on the sides so that no stray hairs are around the face.
